Merrill J. Fernando, one of the world's most experienced tea tasters in the world, has established a family business in Sri Lanka, the tea company DILMAH, which today has been awarded the name of a supplier of quality, authentic and varied tea. 1988 DILMAH resisted the trends of the tea industry and, in order to preserve its authenticity, became the first producer to supply tea from one region. Fresh, as if just picked up, and not blended with the unique taste of Ceylon tea, packed where it was grown, became the distinguishing mark of DILMAH.

DILMAH is a natural tea maker whose profits remain in Sri Lanka and is financed by the MJF Charity Fund and the DILMAH Conservation Environmental Organization. We believe that "business must serve the well-being of the people."
